John Clifton Stuart attended Howard High School and Retired from Metro General Hospital. 

Survived by wife of 47 years, Lila Williams Stuart; daughters, Elaine Wilson, Kay Dillingham and Gail (Perry) Eddlemon; sisters, Jane Jetton and Katherine Silvey; grandchildren, Stuart and Melissa Wilson. 

Services were held at Ellis Funeral Home, 2627 Nolensville Rd.  November 13, 2002, 11 a.m. from the Lebanon Rd. Church of Christ, 2307 Lebanon Rd. by Bro. Dan Chambers and Bro. Harry Middleton. 

Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers: Family and friends.
