Evelyn Sara Karr Our hearts are saddened as we lost Miss Karr on April 29, 2001. Miss Karr was a resident of Nashville, TN. Miss Karr was a graduate of Hume Fogg High School. She had both a B.S. and M.A. degree from Peabody College. She taught in Metro Schools for 38 years Including Howard High School, leaving there when it closed in 1969. She was a Sunday School Teacher at West End Synagogue, a Member of West End Synagogue Sisterhood, Cheekwood, Nashville Women's Club, retired Teachers Association and Jewish Community Center. She was a volunteer for a number of years at Hillsboro High School, J.T. Moore Middle School and Tampa General Hospital. She gave to us, in our very young lives, knowledge, the key to our existance today. This knowledge she gave us became and has remained a part of us throughout our lives. We thank you, Miss Karr, for your part in shaping our lives. Miss Karr has been laid to rest at K.K.A.I. Cemetery in Nashville, TN
